How to get started.
Sometimes the hardest part is knowing how to start and what to expect.
The first step can seem huge, the getting in contact. Sometimes we are worried we will be locked into something we didn't want to agree to, maybe we're worried about being judged, or maybe it's something else entirely.
Once you have got in contact, using the Contact page, we will arrange a convenient time for us to have a free 20-minute introduction, usually via telephone o Zoom. This is where we will talk and you will have an opportunity to ask any initial questions as well as for me to get to know a little about you.

If, after the introduction, you feel you would like to start counselling with me, I will provide you with a agreement or contract of how we will work together as well as other information you may find useful, and we can work out whether online or in person works best for you, as well as suitable days and times.
Sessions are best if they are regular. I understand that for some, weekly sessions can be overwhelming or hard to finance. We can work out a schedule that suits you whether it be weekly or fortnightly and this is adjustable to suit your needs. Each session is £55.
Is online or Telephone Counselling right for me.
Online and telephone counselling isn't always right for everyone, and that is okay. What is does offer, however, is the flexibility to seek counselling without having to travel, and for it to take place somewhere you may feel more comfortable.

What I can guarantee you, is that I will always be in a setting where what you say is confidential, and no one can overhear what is being said. I will also ask that you are in a place similarly confidential, where you can feel safe and free to talk about whatever you need to.

If you have any concerns, or questions about this, please get in touch and I am happy to discuss how this may, or may not work for you. And if it isn't right for you, then we can look at other possibilites.
